Totam: The Cutest Hydroponics System Out There?

The Cutest Hydroponic system out there!

I’ve fallen in love with hydroponics since the arrival of my Lettuce Grow last year. I’ve never been a fan of gardening in dirt and honestly don’t have a green thumb. For one, you need a yard which I don’t have – you need plenty of tools, you need to weed, and take care of it rain or shine. Potting soil isn’t much better – still gotta get my hands dirty, get grow lights, and water just the right amount.. It feels like a complicated science and let’s be real, I’ve been known to be the master of killing houseplants…. Hydroponics are by far the easiest way to grow indoors – from space saving, time saving to dirt-under-nail saving, it’s no wonder they’re becoming so popular. I literally take 15 minutes per week to take care of my Lettuce Grow, and the delicious, fresh quality and high yield of veggies makes it so worth it.

Hello, Totam!

Word on the street is that there’s a new – TINY – modular gardening system coming to market called Totam. As soon as I saw the ads pop up, I had to bite the bullet and support their campaign. The concept of creating a vertical garden that easily fits on my countertop or mounts on my wall, and reflects my unique style, is intriguing.

I am eagerly anticipating the arrival of the Totam kit and can’t wait to see how it works. The modular system will allow me to combine up to 16 different modules to create the perfect ambience for my space, growing up to 20 plants. Pretty mind blowing that it only takes up 12×5 inches of counter space – compared to my massive Lettuce Grow that thrives in the corner of our dining room!

Lighting

The Totam kit comes with an adjustable grow bar fitted with Samsung horticultural LEDs that will provide just the right amount of light for my plants to thrive. I particularly love the fact that there is an ambient light setting that switches off the grow lights and illuminates a warm and cozy display light for the evening or outside growing hours.

Custom Design

One of the things I love about the Totam system is its flexibility. The reusable pot inserts can be used with a variety of different growing mediums, which means I can experiment with different types of plants and propagation. I am planning to start with some herbs, lettuce and microgreens, which I can use in our cooking. But it can also be used to grow succulents, flowering plants  – anything to create a work of art.

Automated System

I am excited to watch as my plants grow and flourish in the Totam system. The patent-pending self-watering hydroponics system allow the right balance of oxygen and water to the roots. The automated watering and lighting features are controlled through their app which will make it easy to maintain the optimal lighting conditions and I won’t have to worry about over or under watering my plants (I’m the MASTER of killing plants in soil – NO thank you!).

Replaceable Parts

Every part of Totam will be replaceable – from the lights, to the pump, to each module – EVERYTHING. This means if something goes wrong, the whole unit won’t need to be thrown out and replaced, but just one part. Less in the landfill is always appreciated!

No Subscription!

Totam system supports open growing, which means that there are no costly monthly subscriptions to worry about. I can grow whatever I want, whenever I want, without any restrictions. This is especially important to me since I want to experiment with different plants and growing techniques. Other hydroponic companies I’ve found only really promote buying their own seedlings & subscriptions.

In Conclusion

Overall, I am excited about the potential of the Totam system. It seems like the perfect solution for anyone who wants to create a beautiful and functional indoor garden without taking up a lot of space that not only looks great but also can provide fresh fruits, veggies and microgreens for cooking. With Totam’s ease of use, flexibility, and affordability, I can’t wait to start my own indoor garden and see the results.

So if you’ve been influenced at all by this article, consider supporting their campaign through my link! It’ll give me a little commission and it’ll give you amazing fresh veggies – WIN WIN, don’t you think?
